The September/October 2008 Relix issue features our Conner Oberst cover story and more! With a new band, new label and alter ego Bright Eyes flickering in the distance, the boy wonder no longer plays nice. "It used to be more of a concern to me that people would understand exactly what I was saying, what I meant when I wrote something, and now I feel the opposite of that," Conner Oberst tells Jaan Uhelszki in this issue's cover story. After 13 years of making music and seven albums with bright eyes, Oberst marks a spiritual and musical rebirth with his new self-titled debut, which was recorded in the Mexican city of Tepoztlan, near the home of Mexican mystics and in a place known for UFO sightings.
This issue also includes articles and features on Neil Young, Lindsey Buckingham, Mark Olson & Gary Louris, Steve Cropper, Girl Talk, Incubus, Mike Einziger, MSTRKRFT, Buddy Guy, Sonya Kitchell, and more!
