North Carolina siblings and collaborators, Delta Rae built their reputation on raw, harmony-driven live performances before landing one of the most storied signings in modern pop history. Carry the Fire is where that stage-forged intensity first met a wider audience, capturing a band whose gospel-tinged Americana and sibling vocal blend felt genuinely unlike anything else coming out of the American South at the time.
Delta Rae were signed by the legendary Seymour Stein himself; the first signing in quite a while. Stein is renowned for having a keen eye for new talent and had a hand in the careers of such iconic artists as the Ramones, Talking Heads, the Pretenders, Madonna, and The Smiths.
