Debut records from artists steeped in classic soul rarely arrive with this much momentum behind them. Don West has spent years honing his voice in Sydney's live circuit, and that stage-tested foundation gives "Give Me All Your Love" a lived-in warmth that studio-polished debuts often lack. For fans who dig deep into the Stax and Motown catalogs but hunger for something current, West is a name worth knowing now.
Riding the wave of the global soul revival, DON WEST is carving out his own distinctive place in the genre. Drawing inspiration from legends like Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield, as well as contemporary artists such as Jalen Ngonda and Thee Sacred Souls, DON WEST brings a fresh yet timeless sound to modern soul.Sydney "soul revival" troubadour, DON WEST'S debut album "Give Me All Your Love" is set for release off the back of a sold-out Europe and UK tour, and an upcoming sold-out Australian tour. Australia's only Spotify Radar Artist for 2025, West has already been nominated for Australian Independent Records Awards for Best Soul/RnB Release and APRA AMCOS Most Performed Soul/RnB Work."If you wanted a unicorn thought experiment, pairing deliriously sultry soul music from the height of Stax and Motown era with au courant heartthrob handsomeness, then Don West has done the hard work for you; he is the answer." - Onestowatch
