180-Gram Limited Edition. An iconic figure of the Bossa Nova, Brazilian pianist, composer and arranger Joo Donato (1934- 2023) introduced a new original rhythm pattern to the genre. He was profoundly influential, having inspired generations of musicians. Joo Gilberto confessed to having taken his bossa nova beat at the guitar from Donato's piano playing. Presented here in it's entirety is Donato's album Muito Vontade, recorded in a quartet format in 1962 and featuring the great Milton Banana on drums.
