For longtime fans, progressive metal collectors, and vinyl enthusiasts, this striking colored vinyl edition offers an exciting way to experience one of the most anticipated reunions in modern progressive rock.

Parasomnia – A Journey Into the World of Sleep and Dreams

Released in February 2025, Parasomnia is Dream Theater's sixteenth studio album and their first studio release featuring Mike Portnoy since 2009's Black Clouds & Silver Linings.

The album explores the mysterious and sometimes disturbing world of parasomnias, a category of sleep disorders involving unusual experiences, behaviors, or events during sleep.

Through cinematic arrangements, atmospheric passages, technical instrumental performances, and powerful vocals, Dream Theater transforms this fascinating concept into an immersive musical journey.

The album's themes provide the perfect foundation for the band's signature combination of complex rhythms, dramatic storytelling, melodic passages, and heavy progressive metal intensity.

From its mysterious opening moments to its epic conclusion, Parasomnia demonstrates Dream Theater's extraordinary ability to create music that is both technically ambitious and emotionally compelling.

The Legendary Return of Mike Portnoy

One of the most exciting aspects of Parasomnia is the return of Mike Portnoy, whose drumming helped define Dream Theater's sound during the band's formative decades.

His reunion with guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, vocalist James LaBrie, and keyboardist Jordan Rudess restores the lineup responsible for several of the group's most celebrated recordings.

The album showcases the remarkable chemistry between these five musicians, blending thunderous percussion, intricate guitar work, sophisticated keyboard arrangements, powerful bass lines, and soaring vocals.

For fans who have followed Dream Theater through decades of groundbreaking albums and unforgettable live performances, Parasomnia represents an especially meaningful new chapter.

Featuring Powerful Progressive Metal Compositions

Parasomnia delivers an ambitious collection of songs that explore the album's central themes through Dream Theater's unmistakable musical style.

Highlights include "Night Terror," "A Broken Man," "Midnight Messiah," "Bend the Clock," and the monumental closing composition "The Shadow Man Incident."

"Night Terror" delivers the band's signature combination of heavy riffs, intricate rhythms, and dramatic atmosphere, while "Midnight Messiah" showcases the energy and musical precision that longtime Dream Theater fans know and love.

The album's extended compositions allow the musicians to explore shifting moods, instrumental complexity, and cinematic storytelling, creating an experience designed for attentive listening.

Whether you're discovering the album for the first time or revisiting your favorite tracks, Parasomnia rewards listeners with the depth and creativity that have defined Dream Theater's career.
