Recorded entirely in GarageBand over three sleep-deprived weeks, *Visions* announced Claire Boucher as one of the most singular voices in electronic pop, building dense, layered productions from her Montreal bedroom with no outside collaborators. The album's breakout single "Oblivion" became a defining artifact of early 2010s indie culture, its shimmering contrast of unsettling subject matter and pure sonic euphoria still resonating more than a decade later.
Grimes is the moniker of Canadian producer, singer and artist Claire Boucher. She approaches music in a way that is both sensually pleasurable and exploratory; sonic experimentalism run through a 'pop' filter.
