Courtney Love and her band walked into the studio with Eric Erlandson, Melissa Auf der Maur, and Patty Schemel and recorded one of the most visceral rock statements of the 1990s. Released in April 1994, just days after Kurt Cobain's death, *Live Through This* arrived under impossible circumstances and somehow endured anyway, on the strength of songs like "Doll Parts" and "Violet" that refused to be overshadowed by anything. This 180g pressing gives the album's raw, Butch Vig-produced sonics the weight they've always deserved.
