By 1975, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady had fully shed their Jefferson Airplane past and sharpened Hot Tuna into a lean, road-hardened unit. Recorded at a moment when the band was playing some of their tightest shows, "America's Choice" captures that live energy on tape, bridging their acoustic Delta roots with the electric crunch that filled ballrooms across the country.
This came out in 1975, and became one of their instant classics, which contained their Robert Johnson power trio version of "Walkin' Blues”, plus more AOR radio favorites like "Funky #7" "Great Divide Revisited" and "I Don't Wanna Go." The interesting "soap box" album cover art came with a unique "soap bubbles" inner sleeve, which will also be restored for the first time since 1975.
