When King Gizzard released Polygondwanaland in 2017, they did something almost unheard of: they surrendered the master files to the public domain, inviting fans and independent labels worldwide to press their own versions. The result became one of the most community-reproduced records of the modern era, with countless unofficial editions circulating through the collector underground. This pressing brings that spirit of open-source generosity full circle in genuinely sustainable physical form.
One of the most freely distributed albums in rock history, Polygondwanaland now gets its most forward-thinking physical form yet. King Gizzard’s labyrinthine prog-psych deep cut, built entirely on polymetric odd time signatures, is pressed here on 180g translucent purple vinyl via injection mold technology using 100% recycled plastic (r-PET).
A limited pressing for collectors and Gizz devotees!
