Short, sharp, and explosive—Hectic is the ska-punk spark that lit the fire. Originally released in 1988, this legendary EP from Operation Ivy is a blistering, no-holds-barred debut that still hits like a punch to the status quo.
With anthems like “Healthy Body,” “Junkie’s Runnin’ Dry,” and “The Crowd,” the band blends breakneck punk energy with upbeat ska rhythms and socially charged lyrics. Jesse Michaels’ urgent vocals and Tim Armstrong’s razor-wire riffs fuel a sound that’s raw, rebellious, and impossible to ignore.
This edition includes a 12" 8-page booklet packed with lyrics, artwork, and all the DIY attitude you’d expect from East Bay’s finest. Hectic isn’t just a record—it’s a rallying cry for unity, action, and the enduring spirit of punk.
