Paul Butterfield's influence on American music runs deeper than most casual listeners realize; a white kid from Chicago's South Side who learned harp directly from Little Walter and Muddy Waters' circles, he helped legitimize electric blues for an entire generation of rock fans. By the time *Keep on Moving* arrived in 1969, the band had already expanded well beyond their hard-edged debut, incorporating horn arrangements and a looser, more soulful feel that pointed toward where rock and R&B were heading.
The BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND set the standards in the 1960s for kick-ass electric blues. Arguably no other group could hold a candle to them. They recorded many outstanding albums for Elektra Records from 1965 into the 1970s. Keep On Moving came out in 1969 & features guitarist Buzzy Feiten & saxophonist David Sanborn.
