Solange's 2019 album 'When I Get Home' is a dreamy, experimental work of art that blends together elements of R&B, jazz, and hip-hop.
The album explores themes of black identity, self-discovery, and personal growth, with Solange's ethereal vocals and intricate production creating a hypnotic soundscape.
From the smooth grooves of "Stay Flo" to the cosmic journey of "Almeda," Solange creates a unique sonic landscape that invites listeners to immerse themselves in her vision. It was written, performed, and executive produced by Solange, and includes contributions from Tyler, the Creator, Dev Hynes, Playboi Carti, The-Dream, and more. It also features samples from Third Ward's own Debbie Allen, Phylicia Rashad, poet Pat Parker, and Scarface.
