Britt Daniel and Jim Eno have been quietly building one of indie rock's most consistent catalogs since the mid-'90s, surviving a notorious label dismissal from Elektra that only seemed to sharpen their focus. What followed was a run of records, from "Girls Can Tell" through "They Want My Soul," that proved airtight songwriting and rhythmic restraint could hit harder than any amount of studio excess.
Spanning a career well into its third decade, Spoon has announced a greatest hits compilation to coincide with their enormous North American amphitheater tour alongside Beck and Cage The Elephant. In addition to the 12 classics assembled onto this single LP, Spoon enters a new classic into the canon: “No Bullets Spent.” Available worldwide on August 16th, 2019.
