Originally recorded in 1964 but shelved until 1973, Stan Getz & Bill Evans is a timeless meeting of two jazz greats at the height of their creative powers. This rare collaboration features the silky tenor sax of Stan Getz blending seamlessly with the introspective piano stylings of Bill Evans, creating a sound that’s both intimate and emotionally rich. Supported by jazz titans Ron Carter on bass and Elvin Jones on drums, the quartet delivers a sophisticated set full of elegance and swing.
This vinyl LP pressing brings the magic of these long-lost sessions back to life with analog warmth and clarity. Whether you're drawn to Getz's smooth phrasing or Evans’ harmonic depth, this album is a must-have for any serious jazz vinyl collection. Perfect for fans of cool jazz, post-bop, and timeless collaborations, Stan Getz & Bill Evans stands as a high point in both artists’ discographies—subtle, expressive, and endlessly replayable.
