Tenebrous Mitchell is a stunning collaboration between Scottish poet Gerry Mitchell and label-mates Tenebrous (an ensemble based around cult photographer and publisher of Loose Lips Sink Ships Steve Gullick), 'The Havering' brings to mind Arab Strap at their most mournful (especially on the swamp sonnet 'Nightingale') and combines the punk ethic with poetry in a way that is rarely explored. Steve and Gerry met last year and together with Pete Spiby, Tony Ash and various members of fellow Londoners Hush the Many they recorded most of this material live to 2" tape in various living rooms across East London.
